2007 in Review

First, an idea stolen from Miss Anna Clare, the first sentence (or two) from each month:

Jan-Feb - no posts

March - Seriously. I have not blogged in three months. Three months is unacceptable.

April - Right to Life club hosts collegiate conference - News

May - Well I haven't blogged in ages. Exams are now upon us out here at ND, and I really shouldn't be online at all....but May 5th required I log on and check my favorite blogs in hopes of seeing joyful news of a Moto Proprio.

June - I mentioned him in my last post and he's still with me...Today is the feast of St. Thomas More. Everyone around St Blog's seems to be taking note - as they very well should!

July - Hurray for Summorum Ponitficum! After celebrating for the past couple days, I guess it's time to post something on the blog.

August - Feast of St. Alphonsus Liguori, Patron of my parish in Baltimore: “Lord, who am I, that You should desire so much to be loved by me?”

September - It's nice to be noticed :-) “Notre Dame to offer Latin Mass in the fall:
South Bend, Sep 4, 2007 / 10:36 am (CNA).- The University of Notre Dame has announced it will offer the Mass in its extraordinary form, that is in Latin, on campus as soon as the necessary requirements, outlined in Pope Benedict’s motu proprio July 7, are fulfilled.”

October - This week, October 1-7, is Respect Life Week – dedicated to the increase of
respect and understanding of the dignity and value of all human life from conception until natural death. Notre Dame observes this week along with other universities and organizations – particularly National Respect Life Sunday, October 7.

November - Sorry I missed All Saints Day. I hope everyone had very blessed and happy feastday. I most certainly did.

Looking back beyond the blog, this year has been an extremely difficult one. I must confess I'm glad to see it go. I wish I had scribbled down something somewhere last New Year's Eve, but apparently I didn't. I remember last New Year's Eve all too well, and wasn't too eager to relive it. Consequently I'm staying in tonight. Not because I want to stay in, but because my alternative is the same place I was last year. It was a fun night, but looking back it only seems to mark the beginning of a very trying time in my life. Of course the year has not been without its joys as well. Still, I'm glad to see it go.

2008
What will this year bring? I don't know. There is an incredible amount of uncertainty in my life. I will graduate on May 18. A scary thought. Beyond that, I don't know.
