Independence Day

Happy Independence Day everyone!

O thus be it ever when free-men shall stand
Between their lov'd home and the war's desolation;
Blest with vict'ry and peace, may the heav'n-rescued land
Praise the Pow'r that hath made and preserv'd us a nation!
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: “In God is our trust!”
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

America seems to forget that last verse. Our national anthem - to the tune of a British drinking song. Let's not forget our humble roots and hard work that made us what we are. Let's not lose ourselves in pride and forget that freedom isn't doing whatever we want whenever we want - that is anarchy. But rather understand that it is the ability to exercise what is right, to use our God-given gifts to protect and preserve the God-given rights of life, liberty, equality, and happiness - but yet again not in the corrupt forms present society would have us subscribe to, but rather in the true sense in the fullness of God's grace and in accordance with His Holy Will.

God bless America.
